NEW PAVEMENT AND REHABILITATION DESIGN
Pavement Design, maintenance, and rehabilitation are part science and part art. There is no single design, paving material, or construction method that works best in all cases. For these and other reasons, when pavement deteriorates, it can be difficult to ascertain and address the true causes so that the pavement will perform well into the future.
GEH can conduct asphalt and concrete airfield pavement designs airports. We go beyond the traditional FAA design approach to provide innovative, well-engineered designs that are based on the structural properties of pavement materials and the expected aircraft loading characteristics. GEH uses the
FAA’s LEDFAA pavement design program and
APSDS (Airport Pavement Structural Design System)
GEH can design pavements for a wide range of airfield rehabilitation strategies. Included in these rehabilitation designs are:
• Asphalt overlays on both asphalt and concrete pavements
• Bonded and un-bonded concrete overlays
• Full-depth concrete repairs
• Partial-depth concrete repairs
• Surface treatments
• Asphalt concrete patches |
